Ponikva/Hotunje - Sveta Marija Magdalena (Dramlje) (via Sveta Uršula)

Access to starting point:
A) With a train...Train station Ponikva.
B) With a car...We leave the highway at exit Dramlje and continue in the direction of Šentjur. After three kilometers at the roundabout Dole we continue in the direction of the settlement Ponikva and after approximately seven kilometers we reach the railway track. In front of the railway crossing we can park safely. The train station is on the other side of the tracks and a little to the right.

Path description:
On the asphalt road that runs along the stream we continue in the direction of the settlement Zagaj pri Ponikvi. Somewhere after a kilometer and a half, the asphalt surface turns to macadam and we follow it through the forest. Soon we reach a smaller settlement of houses and with good markings we continue through the yard of one of the homesteads onto a meadow path. The meadow path turns into a forest path, then it leads us beside several ponds and through the forest we follow somewhat higher to the chapel. From the chapel we continue through Razbor, at the first junction left and soon right downhill under the road viaduct, where we also cross a smaller watercourse, and cross to the other side of the highway. We continue across a meadow, through the yard of a homestead and along a wooden fence with horses to reach the more built-up part of Vodule. From the flat part of Vodule an ascent follows along the asphalt road and then along narrower paths embraced by vineyards/vineyard cottages. Higher we reach a junction, to the right Sv. Uršula and the Dom PD Dramlje hut in the former sacristan's house. Of course, due to the proximity of just over 100 meters we make a visit and then head downhill or left from the junction into the valley behind Dramlje.
On the asphalt road, which is in constant descent and easy to follow, we soon reach to the right beside the path the church of Sv. Ilija. Centuries ago the church was the central parish church and seat of the Dramlje parish. Today it is nicely renovated and the pride of the places between Celjsko hribovje and Konjiška gora/Žička kartuzija.
After a short visit we continue some 100 meters downhill and at the intersection continue left towards the center of Dramlje or Svetelka, right an asphalt road leads to Pletovarje or Straža na gori (over the pass also Žička kartuzija). After another 100 meters right again into the center above the school or NOB monument...left at the cooperative store and right at the cemetery. Continuing we reach the goal of the path, which is visible from afar.
