Preska - Slavkov dom na Golem brdu

Access to starting point:
A) First, we drive to Ljubljana, then continue along Celovška cesta towards Medvode. When we arrive in Medvode, at the first traffic light we turn left across the railway track in the direction of Golo Brdo, Žleb and Preska. Behind the railway track we continue right on the main road towards Preska, and we drive along the main road to the first road junction on the left. Further, we drive through the settlement, then, when on the right side we notice the sports ground of the nearby primary school, we turn left onto Cesta v Žlebeh. When the residential houses on the right side of the road end, we arrive at the well-maintained parking lot, where we park.
B) From Škofja Loka, Kranj or Vodice we drive to Medvode, from there we continue driving towards Ljubljana. At the last traffic light in Medvode, which is located about 100 m ahead from the Hofer store, we turn right across the railway track in the direction of Golo Brdo, Žleb and Preska. Behind the railway track we continue right on the main road towards Preska, and we drive along the main road to the first road junction on the left. Further, we drive through the settlement, then, when on the right side we notice the sports ground of the nearby primary school, we turn left onto Cesta v Žlebeh. When the residential houses on the right side of the road end, we arrive at the well-maintained parking lot, where we park.

Path description:
From the parking lot, we continue on the left road in the direction of Slavkov dom on Golem Brdu. At the last house, which we bypass on the left side, the asphalt ends, and we continue on a macadam road, which after a few dozen meters changes into a cart track. With nice views on "Šmarna gora's" Grmada we quickly arrive in the forest, where the blazes guide us. For some time we walk on forest paths, then we join a somewhat wider cart track, which a little further ahead we leave as the blazes lead us slightly right. A short descent to the asphalt road follows, which we only cross, then along a somewhat more overgrown path in a few dozen steps we arrive at another road, which we follow to the right. From the road somewhat further to the right branches off the road to the nearby ornamental nursery Žiher - Špur, we continue straight, where we first cross a small stream, then arrive in the settlement Žlebe. On the left side of the road, by the nearby residential house we will notice the mountain signs, which direct us sharply left (the path turn-off from the road is a few meters ahead from the sign). A few minutes of moderate ascent through the forest follows, then we emerge from the forest, where we continue left and walk by the orchard to the nearby house and asphalt road.
When we step onto the road, the path from Medno joins from the left, and we continue right along the asphalt road in the already familiar direction. The path further leads past a hayrack and a cross, then the village Seničica ends. With nice views on the surrounding hills we quickly arrive at another cross, behind which the settlement Golo Brdo begins. Somewhat higher at a smaller junction we continue slightly right and with a view of the church of the Holy Trinity we arrive at a hamlet of a few houses. Somewhere in the middle of the hamlet the asphalt road starts to descend, then it splits into two parts, where we continue slightly left along the descending macadam road. During the descent a marked path towards Jeterbenk and further towards Katarina branches off to the right, and from the mentioned junction we descend along the road to the junction near Slavkov dom. From the mentioned junction we continue straight and in a few steps walk to Slavkov dom on Golem Brdu.
