A) First, we drive to Ljubljana, then continue driving along Celovška cesta towards Medvode. When we arrive in Medvode, at the first traffic light we turn left across the railway track in the direction of Golo Brdo, Žleb and Preska. After the railway track we continue right on the main road towards Preska, then drive along the main road to the first road junction on the left. Further, we drive through the settlement, then, when on the right side we notice the sports field of the nearby primary school, we turn left onto Cesta v Žlebeh. When the residential houses on the right side of the road end, we arrive at the arranged parking lot, where we park.
B) From Škofja Loka, Kranj or Vodice we drive to Medvode, from there we continue driving towards Ljubljana. At the last traffic light in Medvode, which is located about 100 m ahead of the Hofer store, we turn right across the railway track in the direction of Golo Brdo, Žleb and Preska.
Path description:
At the end of the parking lot there is a marked junction, where we continue right in the direction of Jeterbenk and Katarina (left Slavkov dom on Golo Brdo). The path first leads along a macadam road, which after a smaller house changes into a cart track, from which we continue left into the forest, where we first cross a stream. Further on, we gently ascend along an occasionally overgrown path, which leads us past several smaller junctions, where we follow the blazes. After a few minutes of gentle ascent, the path turns slightly to the left and gradually descends to the forest road, which we only cross. A little descent follows, then we reach an asphalt road and follow it to the right, but walk on it only a short time, as the red mountain signposts direct us left to the nearby fruit press.
We bypass the fruit press of Andrej on the left side, then behind it continue over a small bridge into the forest. In the forest we first continue right and in a few minutes ascend to a cart track, on which we exit the forest. The path ahead leads along the mentioned cart track, first past a house, then with nice views on Polhograjsko hribovje. After a short descent we reach an asphalt road, which we only cross, as we continue along a macadam road. The road soon splits into two parts, we continue along the lower left one (also possible right, as both paths lead to the church of St. Marjeta), along which we quickly arrive at a left bend, by which there is the marked parking lot Žlebe.
From the parking lot we continue along a cart track in the direction of Katarina, Jeterbenk and St. Marjeta (left Petelinc), which continues along the left side of the stream. After some 10 steps we leave the mentioned cart track and continue right into the forest, where we first descend to the stream and cross it. On the other side we gently ascend for a short time, then the path turns right and ascends more steeply. Somewhat higher we arrive at a marked junction, where we have two options for continuing.
We can continue left in the direction of Jeterbenk or right along a path about a minute longer past the church of St. Marjeta.
If we continue along the left path we will soon reach the next junction, where to the right another path branches off to the mentioned church. Here too we continue left, then somewhat further at an unmarked junction slightly right uphill (the left lower path leads to Jeterbenk "along the ridge" (of course the path reaches the ridge only somewhat higher)), where after a short ascent we join the cart track that leads from the church of St. Marjeta.
Further, we ascend along a relatively wide cart track, which leads us past the information board of the archaeological site at Gradišče. A few minutes further, from our path to the right the path of Roparskih vitezov branches off, we continue straight along the somewhat steeper cart track. Just before the steepness eases, the path of Roparskih vitezov rejoins us, the marked path turns somewhat more to the left and via the ridge of Turnice brings us to the western slopes of Jeterbenk. The path ahead leads across a meadow, from which some views open up temporarily, then it returns to the forest and brings us to a junction at a chapel.
From the mentioned junction, which is located at the edge of the forest, we continue straight (sharply left Jeterbenk, left Slavkov dom on Golo Brdo) along a panoramic road, along which we soon reach the next junction, from which we continue slightly left in the direction of Katarina (along the right road continues Jakobova pot, which leads to the farm Kozomer, straight between both roads continues the path towards Rog and Sv. Jakob). We continue along a gently to moderately ascending road, which we follow to the nearby church of Sv. Katarina.
