a) Highway A1 we leave at the Sveti Rok exit. We continue towards Gračac. There we continue right towards Obrovac. The road ascends more steeply, and when it flattens, we pay attention to an asphalted turn-off straight ahead. We park at the crossroad or slightly before along the road.
b) Highway A1 we leave at the Maslenica exit. We continue towards Obrovac and later Gračac. The road crosses the vegetated slopes of Južni Velebit. After the tunnel, we pay attention to an asphalted turn-off to the right. We park at the crossroad or a few meters further along the road.
Path description:
From the starting point, we continue in the direction of Crnopac. The path ascends through some meadows past a small lake. After 15 minutes of walking, we reach a crossing, where we continue right (left shelter Crnopac). The path ascends somewhat more steeply and then flattens. Such a path leads us for some time. In between, there are also descents and rocky jumps. After half an hour of walking, we emerge from the forest. The path then crosses rocky slopes overgrown with juniper. In some places, there is no path at all, and we move freely over rocks, so we carefully follow the blazes. When the crossing ends, the path starts ascending through bands of smaller trees and passes an abandoned mountain pasture. We reach a small saddle, where we continue right and then, over a short rocky jump, arrive at the slopes of a secondary peak west of the main ridge. We continue over it, then the path descends slightly into a small valley. The path begins to ascend steeply to a crossroad, where the path from shelter Crnopac joins us. We continue right past an inscription on a rock "Crnopac 10'" and over a steep rocky jump to a secondary peak. The ridge becomes narrow but is not overly precipitous. Soon, it veers to the right side. A 3-minute-long, slightly wider ridge awaits us, and we are already at the concrete column on the summit. From the summit, there is a very beautiful view. The HPO stamp is located a few meters further, hidden under a stone.
