Access to starting point:
a) Leave the A1 motorway at the Sveti Rok exit. Continue towards Gračac. There continue right towards Obrovac. The road climbs more steeply; when it levels out, watch for the asphalt branch straight ahead. Park at the intersection or slightly before by the road.
b) Leave the A1 motorway at the Maslenica exit. Continue towards Obrovac and later Gračac. The road crosses overgrown slopes of Southern Velebit. After the tunnel, watch for the asphalt branch to the right. Park at the intersection or a few metres further along the road.
Route description:
From the starting point continue along the road towards Gračac to the gravel road junction to the right. Turn onto this road, a sign "Crnopac" also directs us. Ascend the road for about 45 minutes along the slopes of Orlov kamen. Arrive at the junction at Šimlašica, continue right onto the marked path. Can also continue slightly right along the road. The path ascends through the forest and reaches the road again. If going by path, just cross it, but the path is quite overgrown. After 5 minutes the road and path meet again. The path crosses the road again (ahead on road Kita Gaćešina). The path gently descends into a small valley and then begins to ascend somewhat more steeply. To the left branches path from Planinsko zavetišče Crnopac towards Kita Gaćešina, we continue right along the path to the next junction, where a poorly visible path to Orlov kamen or Orlov kuk branches right. We continue straight for a few more minutes to the next junction, continue straight in direction of "skloništa" Crnopac (left path Malega Princa). The path ascends more steeply via steps and soon the direct path joins from the right and in a few steps we are at the bivouac, from which there is a nice view of Crnopac. Sculptures of forest animals are at the bivouac.
