Ptujska Gora (krožišče) - Ptujska Gora

Access to starting point:
A) From the Ljubljana - Maribor highway, we take the Slovenska Bistrica - north exit, then follow the signs for Ptuj. We leave the road to Ptuj at the signs for Cirkovce, from Cirkovce we follow the road to Lovrenc na Dravskem polju. In Župečja vas, which is still before Lovrenc na Dravskem polju, we turn right towards Ptujska Gora. On Ptujska Gora at the roundabout, we turn left and then once again left to the parking lot intended for visitors of the church. The described path starts at the mentioned parking lot; if we intend to visit the church, we park here, if not, we have to look for a parking lot somewhere nearby. A larger parking lot is below the church itself.
B) We leave the Podravska highway at the Hajdina exit, then follow the signs for Slovenska Bistrica and Hajdina. We quickly leave the road to Slovenska Bistrica and turn left towards Kidričevo. We continue through Kidričevo; when we arrive at Apače, from the roundabout we go right towards Lovrenc na Dravskem polju, then follow the signs for Ptujska Gora. On Ptujska Gora at the roundabout, we turn left and then once again left to the parking lot intended for visitors of the church. The described path starts at the mentioned parking lot; if we intend to visit the church, we park here, if not, we have to look for a parking lot somewhere nearby. A larger parking lot is below the church itself.
C) We drive to Ptuj, then follow the signs for Lovrenc na Dravskem polju and Ptujska Gora. On Ptujska Gora at the roundabout, we turn left and then once again left to the parking lot intended for visitors of the church. The described path starts at the mentioned parking lot; if we intend to visit the church, we park here, if not, we have to look for a parking lot somewhere nearby. A larger parking lot is below the church itself.

Route description:
From the parking lot, we continue along the road where there are signs for the pilgrimage path, and already after a few steps at the smaller intersection we go left, again towards the pilgrimage path. The path ahead leads us along the road, which rises gently; at the next intersection we go left again (even if we continue straight, we arrive at the church on Ptujska Gora). There follow some traversals to the left and we arrive at a larger parking lot, from where we head onto the path towards the basilica.
Next follows steeper walking on a paved path, alongside which are the stations of the mysteries of all four rosaries. We follow this path, from which increasingly beautiful views open up reaching to Pohorje, to the church, to which in the final part we also ascend the stairs.
