Puščava - Hlebov vrh (Rdeči Breg)

Access to starting point:
A) From the road Maribor - Dravograd, between HE Fala and HE Ožbalt we turn left towards Lovrenc na Pohorju (from the direction of Dravograd we turn right). On the other side of the Drava we start ascending along Radoljna, and at the marked crossroads we go left towards Ruše and Činžat. Further on, we go past the bus stop Puščava, and a little further on the right there is suitable space for parking.
B) We drive to Ruše, then we follow the road towards Lovrenc na Pohorju. In the settlement Činžat we arrive at a saddle, where the road starts descending, lower down the road continues along Lamprehtov potok, where on the left we notice a space where we can park.

Path description:
From the starting point, we continue along the asphalt road downwards, when we arrive at the bus stop Puščava we go left onto the marked path, which continues along a wider cart track. Soon we arrive at a small saddle, where on the left side we notice the church of St. Mary Help of Christians. A little further on we arrive at a small junction, where we go left over the bridge (right chapel of St. Anne 3 minutes), after the bridge beside the church we reach a wider asphalt road, along which we carefully continue for a few minutes.
We leave the road to Lovrenc na Pohorju at the junction, beside which there is a chapel, and with the path we continue right in the direction of Lehna, Kohovega and Podvelke. The path further leads us along a somewhat narrower asphalt road, which first gently descends, then continues without major changes in elevation past a few more houses. After crossing Slepnica we go slightly right onto the road towards the hunting lodge. We continue ascending transversely, at junctions we continue straight ahead or in the direction of the markers and the hunting lodge. Higher up, after crossing the stream the road turns sharply left, further on it continues through the forest. Before the Permavsl homestead we leave the forest for a few minutes and a nice view of Pohorje opens up. When we return to the forest we arrive at another junction, where to the right a road branches off to a few more homesteads, we continue straight, where we leave the forest again. A few minutes of scenic traversing follow, at the Kapus homestead the path from Lovrenc na Pohorju joins us from the left.
We continue between the farm outbuilding and the house, after the farm the road enters the forest, through which it continues all the way to Cigelnica, where there is a marked junction.
We continue left on the footpath in the direction of Klančnik and St. Ignatius (straight to HE Ožbalt), where we ascend along the cart track. Higher up we cross a poor macadam road, after it we ascend along the cart track for some time. Higher up the cart track narrows, the markers direct us left, where we step out of the forest, then along the forest edge in a few minutes we reach the Klančnik summit.
From the summit we continue slightly left and along the scenic grassy slope in a few minutes we descend to the nearby Hunting lodge Klančnik.
From the hunting lodge we continue in the direction of St. Ignatius (left downhill one of the paths to Lovrenc na Pohorju) and after one more minute of walking we arrive at the road, along which we continue with a gentle to moderate descent. After about 15 minutes of descent we arrive at a small saddle at the Hudej homestead, where the road becomes asphalt. We continue straight and at the cross the path past the Brabar homestead joins from the left (starting point Lovrenc na Pohorju or Janževski Vrh).
The path further leads us past the Žumar homestead too, after it from the junction we continue slightly right towards St. Ignatius. We continue along the macadam road, which crosses a strip of forest, then with nice views on the right side we bypass the Hleb homestead, after it we soon arrive at the church of St. Ignatius.
Before the church we continue right from the road and walk to the forest, through which we continue along the cart track to the summit a few minutes away.
