Access to starting point:
We leave the Primorska highway at the Kastelec exit and follow the signs for Podgorje. Over the Podgorje border crossing, we enter Croatia. We drive through Jelovice to Vodice, where we turn right. Then we drive through Dane to the next crossroad, where we turn left toward Račja vas. We drive through Rašpor and soon arrive at Račja vas, where we park in a suitable spot by the church.
Route description:
From the starting point, we go on the road past the church and through the village. After 5 minutes, the blazes direct us from the asphalt road onto a path. At first, it leads us through a meadow. The path starts ascending through shorter strips of forest and clearings, then begins to traverse to the right. The path steadily ascends, and after 15 minutes, we emerge from the forest onto a meadow where there is an unmarked junction. We continue to the right on a faintly visible footpath. Straight ahead to Buzet. Across the meadow, we follow the blazes into the forest, and after a few minutes of gentle ascent, we reach Marećica, where there is an inscription book and a partial view.
