Radlje ob Dravi - Castle Stari grad above Radlje ob Dravi (Mahrenberg)

Access to starting point:
From the road Dravograd - Maribor, in Radlje ob Dravi, from the crossroad at store Lidl, we drive in the direction of center of the settlement and mountain pass Radeljski prelaz. After the crossroad, we drive also past the store Hofer and past the turn-off of the road to the left towards Sveti Trije Kralji, and at the next crossroad left towards Austria. Immediately after the crossroad, we go once again left and we park on a larger asphalt parking lot near the mansion Dvorec Radlje.

Path description:
From the parking lot, we continue towards the east, where we at first carefully cross the main road Radlje ob Dravi - mountain pass Radeljski prelaz, and on the other side of the road the path splits into two parts.
We can continue left on forest and historical trail Old castle (Stari grad), or straight on trim trail. Both paths are well marked and higher in the forest join and then also few times cross each other, and higher run on the same route. Higher, the path turns left and passes on a little steeper slope, where it is fenced with a wooden fence, and when the fence on the left ends it splits.
Straight leads the path, on which we quickly join European footpath E6, but we continue sharply right in the direction of a learning trail and trim trail.
A little further, we reach a wider cart track, where trim trail turns left (also a learning path, only that it at first leads to an castle Stari grad), and we continue right in the direction of the castle Stari grad or castle Mahrenberg. For a short time, we walk on a cart track, and then signs for ruins point us to the left on a footpath, on which we quickly get to ruins and from where a view opens up a little on the valley Dravska dolina.
