Access to starting point:
From the Ljubljana-Jesenice motorway, take the Radovljica exit, then continue driving towards Radovljica. At the first somewhat larger intersection, turn left towards Radovljica, then soon left towards Tinaraft. At the next intersection, just a few dozen meters ahead, turn right again towards Tinaraft, Zbirni center Radovljica and nature trail Pusti grad. Further on, we drive along Savska cesta, which gently descends for most of the way, then after the underpass under the railway track it brings us to an arranged parking lot, beside which there are signs for the nature trail Pusti grad. We park at the mentioned parking lot.
Path description:
At the end of the parking lot, where there is the information board of the nature trail, we continue right on a wide path, beside which we notice signs for the Fux footbridge. The path goes immediately into the forest, through which it mostly gently descends. At the junctions, we follow the wider path, or the one beside which there are signs for the nature trail. Further, the path leads us past the paintball field, then we descend to the Fux footbridge, before which there is the company Tinaraft d.o.o.
Follows the crossing over the Sava River on the Fux footbridge, then after a few steps of ascent we arrive at a pleasant bench with a view of the footbridge and Sava.
From the bench we continue straight ahead (right path along the Sava, possible continuation to Šobčev bajer) and after a short ascent along the cart track we arrive at the next junction, where we continue right (straight to Kamna Gorica and nature trail). The path ahead leads us along a wide cart track, which in a semicircle bypasses the nearby meadow. When the path returns to the forest, at the junction we continue right, then, when we arrive in the village, in the middle of the village again right. The path ahead leads us along a narrower asphalt road, which takes us along the edge of a scenic meadow. When the road enters the forest, at the section where it begins to descend, beside the road we will notice sand for spreading, and on the left side of the road a cart track that begins to ascend the slope. We continue along the mentioned cart track, which steeply ascends through a wild garlic patch, then brings us out of the forest onto a hay meadow, which we first cross, then the poorer grassy cart track turns left and reaches an asphalt road, where we continue sharply right and ascend past the last house.
Behind the last house, a beautiful view opens towards the Alps, then when we enter the forest again we arrive at a junction, where a short path branches off to the left leading to Pusti grad. From the junction, we reach Pusti grad after approximately one minute of further walking.
