Access to starting point:
We drive into the center of Bovec, where from the crossroads at the main square we continue on the ascending road which past the post office starts to ascend towards the nearby church. We bypass the mentioned church on the left side, and then we arrive in Kaninska vas. Bovec then ends and the road leads us for some time towards the west. At a smaller junction we leave the main asphalt road which leads towards the village Plužna and we continue driving on the slightly right road (behind the crossroads there are signs for the Gozdec road). Behind the nearby homestead, the road splits once again, this time we choose the slightly left road (slightly right: Zavrzelno and the starting point of the path to Rombon). We then ascend 1.2 kilometers on the macadam road, where in a gentle bend on the left and right sides of the road we see yellow signs which mark the mountain paths. We park by the road, the parking lot is not marked.
Path description:
From the macadam road, we head onto the other macadam road, where traffic for motor vehicles is prohibited. The road ascends slowly, the direction is marked with a sign. After 700 m of walking we turn sharply left (there is also a sign there) onto the mule track, then after 800 meters we continue right on the mule track (straight: path to B cableway station). After 400 meters we come to a fork, where we continue straight uphill, which is also marked with a sign that says Mulatjera (left: Planja takeoff site). The path then approaches the wall and soon we start to ascend a partly steep military mule track, which is well preserved. In winter the path may be snow-covered in places. After 850 meters of ascending along the wall we come to a poorly visible branch of the mule track, which splits off to the right towards the path Zavrzelno - Planina Goričica, and we continue left straight uphill. The mule track soon flattens and after a few hundred meters we reach Planina Goričica. We can loop the route by descending on the path Zavrzelno - Planina Goričica; after 500 meters, when we reach a well-preserved mule track, we turn right onto the mule track, then in the second right bend we notice a footpath that brings us back to the previously walked mule track.
