Access to starting point:
A) We drive to Bled, and then we continue driving towards Pokljuka. Above Zatrnik, when the road already flattens, a few 100 meters before the wood depot GG Bled we notice a turn-off of the forest road to the left. At the mentioned crossroad the described path begins, and we park at an appropriate place nearby.
B) We drive to Bohinjska Bistrica, and then we continue driving towards Bled, but only to the turn-off of the road for Pokljuka. In Jereka we continue right towards Pokljuka and also in the next crossroads we follow the signs for Pokljuka. When we get to Mrzli studenec we continue right towards Bled, where we drive past the depot GG Bled. A little further from the depot we get to a crossroad, where the forest road branches off to the right. At the mentioned crossroad the described path begins, and we park at an appropriate place nearby.
Route description:
From the main road, we go on the forest road which at first leads through a small valley, and then it quickly splits. We choose the left road (straight we can get to the mountain pasture Grajska or Rečiška planina), which starts gradually ascending. Higher, when the road flattens, at the smaller crossroad we choose a slightly left road, and it then leads parallel with the main road, only that we walk about 100 altitude meters above it. Further a few ascents and descents follow, and occasionally also a nice view opens up on the Karawanks. After crossing the Ribja dolina a few more minutes of walking follow, and then we reach the marked path Bled - Pokljuka, which we follow to the left. On the mentioned path we ascend along the route of the former ski slope Zatrnik, when the marked path turns right downwards, we continue to the abandoned structures by the upper station of the former ski lift Berjanca. From the structures a few 10 strides of ascent on pathless terrain to the nearby peak follow, from which a nice view opens up, which reaches all the way to Triglav.
