Rudnik v Topli - Velika glava (Peca)

Access to starting point:
A) We drive to Črna na Koroškem (to here from Ravne na Koroškem or from Šoštanj through the mountain pass Spodnje Sleme), and then we continue driving towards Koprivna. Further, we ascend along the river Meža, and we drive along it to the crossroad, where the road into the Topla valley branches off to the right. The path ahead leads us by the Topla stream, and we drive on an ascending road to the parking lot by the entrance to the mine in Topla.
B) We drive to Luče (to here from Mozirje or from Kamnik over the mountain pass Volovljek (Kranjski Rak)), and then we continue driving towards Logarska dolina. In the village Solčava we leave the main road towards Logarska dolina and we continue driving right in the direction of Podolševa, mountain pass Spodnje Sleme and Črna na Koroškem. Further, the road loses its asphalt covering, and after a few kilometers at the crossroad in Podolševa we turn right towards Črna na Koroškem. The road, which further mostly ascends transversely, brings us after some time to the mountain pass Spodnje Sleme. From the mountain pass the road starts descending, and we follow it in the direction of Črna na Koroškem. When after a few kilometers we descend to the valley, at the crossroad we turn right towards Črna na Koroškem (left Koprivna). On the main road we descend only for a short time, and then signs for the Topla valley point us to the left onto an ascending road. The path ahead leads us by the Topla stream, and we drive on an ascending road to the parking lot by the entrance to the mine in Topla.

Path description:
At the end of the parking lot, we arrive at a junction of two poorer macadam roads, where we turn sharply left in the direction of the mountain hut Dom na Peci. Further, the road crosses a clearing above the parking lot and a little higher brings us to the next junction, where we continue right (left entrance to the mine - 5 minutes). The path ahead leads us along the road, which gradually turns into a cart track, and this brings us a little further to the next marked junction.
At the mentioned junction we continue left (slightly right Dom na Peci) in the direction of Knipsovo sedlo (on the signposts Knepsovo sedlo) and further we ascend along a grassy cart track. Higher, we join a rocky cart track, which crosses the slopes to the left, and we ascend along it to the place where the signs for Peca and Knipsovo sedlo direct us right steeply uphill.
Further, the path ascends steeply, crossing steep slopes to the left (on this section especially when wet there is a risk of slipping). After 10 minutes of steep ascent the path crosses a grassy gully, then on the other side of it ascends even more steeply. A very steep path brings us higher to a smaller vantage point, from which a beautiful view opens towards Raduha. Only a little higher on a tree we notice a signpost that directs us left. The path ahead leads us through gradually thinning forest, from which we occasionally get some views. Further, the path goes among dwarf pines, where the steepness begins to ease. There follows approximately 15 minutes of easy walking and the path brings us to Knipsovo sedlo, where there are information boards.
On the saddle, where there are information boards, we continue straight along a barely visible and unmarked path (right Kordeževa glava, left Bistriška špica). After a few steps we notice on the right side a narrow clearing among dwarf pines, along which runs a poorly visible path. We head onto the mentioned path, along which after a good 10 minutes of ascent we arrive at the summit of Velika glava.
