Access to starting point:
From Vrhnika, Dobrova or Polhov Gradec we drive to Horjul, and there in the center of the settlement, we continue in the direction of the village Koreno. Further, we drive past the senior citizens' home, and then we continue driving on a narrow and relatively steep road, which brings us higher to a crossroad, where we continue straight in the direction of Samotorica (sharp right Koreno). The road ahead crosses steep slopes, and then it slightly descends and brings us to a smaller crossroad of several roads. We park at an appropriate place by the road near the mentioned crossroad.
Path description:
Hiking signposts by the edge of the crossroad point us to the left macadam road, which at first moderately ascends, and then without changes in altitude brings us to the chapel on a panoramic meadow. Here we leave the road and continue on a footpath which ascends diagonally across a grassy slope. After 2 minutes of easy walking across the meadow, the path brings us to the edge of the forest, where we continue right on a quite overgrown path. Higher the forest and bushes get thinner and from the path a view opens up towards the Kamnik-Savinja Alps. We continue on a gently sloping path, which after a few additional steps brings us to the summit of Kožljek.
