Access to starting point:
Through the border crossing Sotina we drive into Austria, where immediately after the border we continue left towards the settlement Strgarjevo / Kalch. After the mentioned settlement we arrive from the Austrian federal state Burgenland to Steiermark, and after the settlement Neustift we go right at the crossroad in the direction of the settlement Kapfenstein. In the mentioned settlement we go right in the direction towards the castle Schloss Kapfenstein and also at the next crossroads we follow the signs for the mentioned castle. We park to the right of the castle on a parking lot by the edge of the forest.
Route description:
From the end of the parking lot, we continue towards the northwest, where we walk on a gentle cart track which leads through the forest. In the forest, the path splits, and we continue straight on the lower cart track (right over the fence - Kapfensteiner Kogel), which for a shorter time crosses slopes through the forest, and when we leave the forest, we go left towards the nearby chapel of the Heart of Jesus (right - Kapfensteiner Kogel), which we reach in a gentle descent.
