Access to starting point:
We drive on the highway from Razdrto towards Nova Gorica or vice versa and head for the Ajdovščina exit. Then at the intersection (first traffic light) we continue straight in the direction of Col and Idrija. At the second traffic light we turn right, again in the direction of Col, and follow the road for only a few dozen meters to the spot where we cross the Hubelj river. Immediately after the bridge we turn left in the direction of the Hubelj spring (by the road we notice tourist signs). We follow this road to the parking lot at the Hubelj spring.
Route description:
A warning! Due to private property, it is no longer possible to reach the summit via the path described below!.
Near the parking lot, we notice the start of the path towards Otliško okno. The path at first ascends on stairs and then goes into the forest, where it moderately ascends for some time. The path then slightly descends and brings us to a panoramic slope from where a nice view opens up towards the slopes of Čavna. The path then goes into the forest and quickly brings us to a bird house by which we notice a thermometer. Just a few meters ahead along the path there is a pleasant bench. Further, the path starts ascending and leads us past the spot where the story about the origin of Otliško okno is written. The path then becomes steeper and steeper and soon brings us to rocky slopes. The path step by step becomes more and more panoramic and varied. A little higher, the path brings us below Otliško okno, which we already see on the right side. Just a little ahead we notice a sign for Malo Otliško okno. Malo okno is only 10 m from the path and is worth seeing. The path ahead passes into an indistinct gully in the middle of which at Christmas time we notice nativity scenes. At the top of the gully we come to the chapel where there is a logbook box and a stamp. Here we continue right in the direction of the window, to which we still have five minutes of walking. Just a little before the window a path branches off to the left to the stone snail, which is only a good minute from the path. From the snail we return to the path we left and in a few dozen steps we come to the information boards at Otliško okno. From the boards we can descend to the window from which a nice view opens up on the Vipava valley.
From the window we continue on the path in the direction of Sinji vrh. The path ahead quickly comes out of the forest and brings us to panoramic slopes along which we ascend by the edge of the cliffs in the southeastern direction. After approximately 10 minutes of walking from the window the path splits into two parts. At the spot where the grazing fence makes a sharp left turn we leave the wide path and head right onto a poorer but marked path, which after five minutes of ascent brings us to the summit (the path is marked, but the blazes are rare and poorly visible).

Discussion about the trip Izvir Hublja - Navrše

We completed the tour on 31.01.2009. We started at the spring of Hublja. At an altitude of approximately 350 meters, a distinct hunter's path branches off to the right, coming from the left side and crossing the marked path; its junction is very clear (on the tree on the left side there is a mark and an arrow pointing left - here the marked path continues towards Otliško okno. As already mentioned, we followed the mentioned hunter's path to the right, which is occasionally marked with red "paw prints" and ribbons tied around thinner tree trunks. The path crosses to the right for quite some time, then climbs up a steeper slope past a characteristic rock wall and above it turns right under a rock tower. Above this spot, we cross grassy ribs scattered with sparse trees slightly to the right and reach a wider hunter's path coming from the right (we reach it in a distinct left bend). The mentioned path continues uphill and you can reach the plateau along it; our path just touches the wider path and continues as a less distinct trail to the left. The trail soon brings us to a kind of rock edge with a small natural window (beautiful view from the top of the rock above the window). From this place, the trail traces lead upwards along an indistinct scree, where the trail branches again; we can follow the left branch, which takes us past a 10-meter interesting rock tower to a small grassy saddle (beautiful view, suitable spot for a snack). From the tower, we continue to the right to the well-visible saddle to the right (east) of the Navrše peak (857m). The other variant reaches the ridge more to the right side (at the foot of the distinct head right of the Navrše peak).
Once we reach the ridge, we continue over the Navrše peak (857m) and descend through it to Otliško okno. For the descent, you can use the described marked path past Otliško okno!

Unfortunately, it's NO LONGER POSSIBLE to reach Navrše itself via this trail. Right at the last mentioned junction in the description, there is a very clear sign prohibiting passage through private property. Even when continuing along the marked trail below the summit, a barbed wire fence accompanies us for a good part of the trail. Perhaps it might even be possible to find a "gap" further on and take it towards the summit off-trail, but I'm not sure we wouldn't risk trespassing. Truth be told, the last part of the "edge" trail to the "junction" is spectacular enough as a "consolation prize". If we're already heading to the Otlica area, Otliški maj is offered (one of the first peaks if we go from Okno "Po robu" in the opposite direction; definitely not a "closed area") with sufficiently similar characteristics to Navrše.

Correct, I passed by the sign just yesterday. Otherwise, the trail is quite overgrown in the area of Črnih sten and further towards Otliškem oknu. I would expect a better trail given that it's SPP.

If I understand correctly, the summit can no longer be reached via any of the described trails?

And what's so valuable there that the owner no longer allows walking on the trail?
