Access to starting point:
From the Ljubljana - Jesenice highway, take the Kranj - east exit and follow the road ahead in the direction of Zgornje Jezersko. In the village Kokra, at the road sign between 10.5 and 10 km, the road towards Spodnja Kokra branches off to the right downwards (by the intersection there are also mountaineering signs). Immediately after the road crosses the river Kokra, we park on the parking lot by the road.
Path description:
At the beginning of the parking lot, we notice a marker, which directs us right onto a footpath that ascends overgrown steps. The path then flattens and brings us higher to the road, which we follow to the right. After a short ascent, we come to a smaller crossroad, where we continue right, and we follow the road only a few dozen meters to a decaying house. At the decaying house, markers direct us onto a cart track (road here turns right), which we then follow only a short time because the marked path turns right and past a cross brings us to a stream. The path crosses the mentioned stream and behind it starts ascending steeper. The steepness soon decreases and the path in a moderate ascent, which almost entirely runs through the forest after a good hour of walking brings us to an indistinct saddle, where there is a junction. We continue left on a cart track in the direction of the mountain hut Dom na Gospincu. The relatively gently sloping cart track after additional few minutes brings us to the monument to the fallen fighters. Further, the path has in a short time a larger number of junctions, so we carefully follow the markers. The marked path then soon leaves the cart track and starts ascending through a dense forest. The steeper and steeper path higher brings us to a smaller vantage point, from which a view opens up towards the circular cabin cable car, which goes to Krvavec. The path then returns into the forest and ascends on the path, on which some touring cyclists can come towards us in the opposite direction (there are quite a lot of them; the larger part have their own route, but occasionally the path is only one). When we come out of the forest, the path crosses a grazing fence and then brings us to the road which we follow right to the upper station of the cable car to Krvavec. The mountain hut Dom na Gospincu is situated right next to the mentioned station.
