St. John the Baptist on Ojstrica - Huhnerkogel/Košenjak (via Bivak Piramida)

Access to starting point:
We drive into the center of Dravograd (to here from Maribor through a valley Dravska dolina or from Velenje through Slovenj Gradec, where signs for Ojstrica point us on the road which after 6.5 km brings us to the church of St. John the Baptist on Ojstrica, near of which we park on a parking lot.

Path description:
From the parking lot at the church, we continue on the asphalt road, on which we quickly get to a marked crossroad, by which there are numerous signposts.
We continue right (straight normal path on Košenjak) in the direction of the church of St. Urban. The path ahead leads us on quite panoramic road which at the crossroads we follow in the direction towards St. Urban.
Behind farm Lonhtar we leave signs for St. Urban and we continue left on a cart track in the direction towards Košenjak.
The path ahead leads us on a wider newer cart track, on which we are quite steep ascending, and then we go left on a marked path, and which higher returns on a wider cart track. Next follow few crossings, where we follow the blazes, and then through a little thinner forest we reach the hunting cottage Bivak Piramida.
Above the cottage we continue right and we walk on a gently sloping path, which crosses gentle slopes. During the crossing the path leads us past the stone Volčji kamen, which was carved by a stonemason, who was victim of a wolf attack, therefore the millstone was not completed. A little further, we get to a marked crossing, where we join the path which leads past Sveti Urban, and we continue left towards Košenjak. Further, we are for quite some time ascending on and by the national border, and when the forest gets even thinner from the left joins the path which leads past Dom na Košenjaku.
We continue straight and after a minute of additional walking, we get to the top of Košenjak.
