Stahovica - Sveti Primož above Kamnik (by road)

Access to starting point:
A) We drive to Kamnik, then we follow the signs for Kamniška Bistrica. In Stahovica at the traffic light we turn left in the direction of Kamniška Bistrica, then a few dozen meters further we park on the arranged parking lot next to Calcit.
B) We leave the Štajerska motorway at the Vransko exit, then we follow the road towards Kamnik. In Kamnik at the first traffic light we turn right, then we follow the signs for Kamniška Bistrica. In Stahovica at the traffic light we turn left in the direction of Kamniška Bistrica, then a few dozen meters further we park on the arranged parking lot next to Calcit.
C) We drive to Gornji Grad, then over the Črnivec pass we drive towards Kamnik. Still before Kamnik, in the settlement Stahovica we turn right in the direction of Kamniška Bistrica, then a few dozen meters further we park on the arranged parking lot next to Calcit.
D) From Luče over the Volovljek pass (Kranjski Rak) we drive to Stahovica, where at the traffic light we turn right towards Kamniška Bistrica, then a few dozen meters further we park on the arranged parking lot next to Calcit.

Path description:
From the parking lot, we walk to the main road, then we continue a few dozen steps towards the traffic light. Still before the traffic light we carefully cross the main road and head to the steep road, beside which there are signs for Spodnje Prapretno, sv. Primož and Velika planina. Initially we ascend along the asphalt road which makes two hairpin turns, soon the road becomes macadam and brings us to a forested ridge, where the road continues for a while. Further on, we gradually arrive at the southwest slopes, where we step out of the forest, after the left turn we arrive at an unmarked junction, beside which there is a map.
We continue straight ahead (right Spodnje Prapretno) along the road which returns to the forest. Higher up the road leads us through a smaller hamlet, above the hamlet it makes a left turn. Here we temporarily leave it and continue straight on the cart track, which after a few minutes of diagonal ascent returns to the road. At the next left turn we go straight again on the cart track, beside which there are signs for sv. Primož and Domžalski dom na Mali planini.
The path ahead leads us along a wide cart track which past the chapel brings us to the spring named Umivalnik (on the sign a caption in Gorenjska dialect Umivavnk).
Then follows some more diagonal ascent and we arrive at a junction, where a path branches off to the left towards Velika planina, we continue straight in the direction of sv. Primož, where we continue walking on the cart track. A few minutes higher we leave the dense forest and with nice views we arrive at the church of sv. Primož and the nearby refreshment hut.
