Stainz bei Straden - Aussichtswarte Vulkanland (via Rosenberg)

Access to starting point:
From Gornja Radgona or Gederovci, drive to Radgona / Bad Radkersburg and follow signs for Vienna / Wien and Graz / Graz. After the settlement Obrajna / Halbenrain, soon turn right towards the town of Vrbna / Feldbach. Continue through several more settlements; upon arriving in the settlement Stainz bei Straden, the described path starts at the bus stop Stainz bei Straden Ort. There are no designated parking spaces for hikers at the starting point.

Path description:
A few steps north of the bus stop we reach a marked intersection from which we head right east following the signs for Vulkanland Aussichtswarte. Initially we walk on the pedestrian surface along the initially still quite compact part of the settlement, after a few minutes we arrive at a smaller intersection where the marked path splits.
Continue straight (left leads the path Auf den Spuren der Vulkane – Um die Mitte, which also leads to the viewpoint tower Aussichtswarte Vulkanland), the sidewalk and settlement soon end.
The road then begins to climb more noticeably, occasionally leading past individual houses of the Stainzberg settlement. Higher up a beautiful view opens, which with good visibility reaches all the way to the Alps, otherwise the view is mainly beautiful towards Straden, and at intersections we continue straight, i.e. along the main road. When higher, after a forest belt, we reach the scenic southern slopes we arrive at the settlement Rožni Vrh / Rosenberg, and here we continue past a few houses to a marked junction where a path from the Tieschen settlement joins from the right.
Here go left and quickly reach the scenic peak Rosenberg, where there are a few benches.
Continue straight and on the wider gravel path begin descending through the forest. After a few minutes of gentle to moderate descent we reach a small pass where another path from the starting point in Stainz bei Straden joins, but we continue straight and begin to ascend easily. Then bypass the field on the right side, after the next forest belt we already arrive at the viewpoint tower Aussichtswarte Vulkanland, from which a beautiful view opens in all directions reaching to the Alps.
