Stari trg - Poštarski dom pod Plešivcem

Access to starting point:
A) We drive to Slovenj Gradec, and then we continue driving towards Stari trg, Kotlje and Ravne na Koroškem. Before the road starts ascending, from the roundabout we go to the exit in the direction of Stari trg. A little further, we go left and we ascend to a large parking lot by the parish church of St. Radegunda, where we park.
B) We drive to Ravne na Koroškem, after that from the roundabout in the middle of the town, we continue in the direction of Kotlje and Slovenj Gradec. Further, we drive through the settlement Pratnekar, and at the beginning of Kotlje we go left towards Slovenj Gradec. Next follows gradual ascent to a smaller mountain pass, after that descent towards Slovenj Gradec. When the road stops descending, from the roundabout we go to the exit in the direction of Stari trg. A little further, we go left and we ascend to a large parking lot by the parish church of St. Radegunda, where we park.

Path description:
From the end of the parking lot, we continue on a wide footpath which at the 2nd Station of the Cross splits.
We continue slightly left on a marked path (slightly right Grajski grič past the Stations of the Cross) and we diagonally ascend to a smaller stream, by which we continue through a small valley. The valley soon widens, and a marked path brings us to a macadam road. The road further quickly becomes asphalted, and when we join a somewhat wider road, we go slightly left. There follows a little more walking and we arrive at the restaurant Na klancu, where we carefully cross the main road Slovenj Gradec - Ravne na Koroškem.
On the other side of the main road we continue right, where we at first still continue along the edge of the road, and then the path passes into the forest, where it first leads past the climbing area Sele, and then also past several junctions, where we carefully follow the blazes. Next follows some descent to a macadam road which we follow straight, and along it we walk to the next asphalt road which we only cross. After crossing the road, we cross the stream Selčnica and we are already at the church of St. Miklavž.
From the church of St. Miklavž we continue on a cart track and we follow the signs of the path Rimljanov, and from the cart track we soon go left, where we cross a stream and on the other side of the stream, we start ascending steeper through the forest. The path quickly flattens and brings us out of the forest, where after the bench, the footpath vanishes into grass. We continue by the field upwards, and when the terrain becomes a little steeper, we cross a grassy cart track. We continue straight to a hiking signpost, which points us to the left. Further, the path isn't visible and we stick slightly to the right, so that we higher reach an asphalt road. We follow the road to the right, and it soon turns sharply left. There follow a few minutes of moderate ascent and along the road we arrive at the church of St. Rok, where the road turns right, and then with nice views we continue past the house, where Franc Ksaver Meško, Slovenian writer, lived and worked. Further, the road leads us past a few more houses, and after a shorter ascent, we arrive at a smaller junction, where we go left in the direction of Poštarski dom and the ecological farm Ravnjak. Next follows another shorter ascent and we already arrive at the next junction, where we go right, and then follows a somewhat longer diagonal ascent. We leave the diagonal ascent on the asphalt road at the junction, where blazes and signs for the homestead Španžel direct us sharply left onto a side road, along which we quickly arrive at the mentioned homestead. Behind the homestead, we continue on a cart track, at first with nice views along the edge of the forest and then on a footpath through the forest, where we follow the blazes. Higher, we reach a macadam road, we follow it to the left, and after a minute of further walking we arrive at Poštarski dom pod Plešivcem.
Stari trg - sv. Miklavž 0:55, sv. Miklavž - sv. Rok 0:30, sv. Rok - Poštarski dom 0:45.
