Staro Volčje - Bloško jezero

Access to starting point:
A) From Ljubljana, we drive towards Kočevje or vice versa, but only to the settlement Velike Lašče, where we continue right (from the direction of Kočevje, left) in the direction of Nova vas on Bloke. Further, we drive on an occasionally somewhat more winding and also ascending road, which leads us past some smaller settlements. After the settlement Kramplje, more precisely some 10 meters after we cross the stream Bloščica, we arrive at a smaller crossroad, where a narrower asphalt road towards Bloško jezero and the village Volčje branches off to the left. We park at an appropriate place by the crossroad. An appropriate space is some 10 m away from the crossroad at the main road.
B) From the highway Ljubljana - Koper, we take the exit Unec, then follow the road in the direction of Cerknica and further in the direction of Bloška Polica and Nova vas. From Nova vas, we continue driving left in the direction of Velike Lašče, then we drive past the settlement Nemška vas na Blokah and past the first turn-off towards Bloško jezero and the settlement Volčje. From the first turn-off, we drive approximately another 1.5 km, then we arrive at the second turn-off to Bloško jezero. We park at an appropriate place by the crossroad. An appropriate space is some 10 m away from the crossroad at the main road.

Path description:
At the crossroad, we notice a wooden signpost with the inscription Volčje, which points to a narrower asphalt road, on which we start the path. The road leads us through the forest, only some 10 m away from the interesting stream Bloščica, which on its path through flat terrain makes interesting turns (similar to the stream on Malo polje below Triglav). After good 10 minutes of easy ascent on the asphalt road, we already arrive at Bloško jezero, by which we can enjoy the view of the lake.
