Stoperce - Donačka gora (eastern peak) (on ridge)

Access to starting point:
A) We drive to Rogaška Slatina, and then we continue driving towards Rogatec. In Rogatec, at the roundabout we turn left in the direction of Ptuj, and then we drive on the main road to the Brzika pass, where the road starts descending. Lower down, we arrive in Stoperce, where we park on the parking lot next to the krajevni dom.
B) We drive to Majšperk, and then we follow the signs for Stoperce and Rogatec. When we arrive in Stoperce, we park next to the Dom krajanov Stoperce.

Path description:
From Dom krajanov Stoperce we walk for a short time along the main road towards Rogatec, still before the end of the settlement we turn left onto a side road in the direction of Donačka gora. The marked path then leads us along an asphalt road that takes us from Stoperce to Kupčinji Vrh, where at a few crossroads we continue straight ahead or follow the blazes. Higher up, the road ascends somewhat more steeply and takes us to a hamlet, next to which there is a marked parking lot.
Here we continue straight onto a side road (left Žetale), next to which there are signs for Donačka gora. The path ahead leads us past a few houses, a trough with water, then we go right to the nearby stream, along which we continue for a short time. The path ahead leads through the forest and ascends diagonally; when we approach a meadow, we go left along the lower path. There follows some more ascent, then we cross a macadam road, after which we ascend to Rudijev dom in a minute of further walking.
From Rudijev dom we continue left in the direction of the summit of Donačka gora (right Sv. Jurij, Rogatec and source of Sotla) and initially we walk along a macadam road, from which we soon go right in the direction of the easier path to Donačka gora (straight demanding path to Donačka gora and Žetale).
The path ahead initially ascends moderately through the forest, after a few minutes it transitions to steep slopes and also becomes steeper. We then ascend along a well-maintained mountain path that climbs in numerous zigzags. Higher up we pass a memorial plaque in memory of Ernst Froelich, who in 1853 blazed the path to Donačka gora, which was the first marked path in Slovenia. After the memorial plaque there follows a few minutes of ascent along the northwestern slope of Donačka gora, then we reach the ridge, where we go left. There follows an ascent along and beside the forested ridge and in a few minutes we reach the higher, western summit of Donačka gora.
From the western summit we continue along the marked ridge path in the direction towards Žetale. After a short descent the path withdraws slightly from the ridge to the right side, then it continues with some shorter ascents and descents; occasionally the path runs along a fairly steep slope, where especially when wet there is a greater risk of slipping. After approximately 20 minutes of walking along and beside the ridge we arrive at a marked junction, where a demanding path branches off to the left towards Žetale and Kupčinji Vrh, while we continue straight and after a few dozen steps of further walking we arrive at the precipitous eastern summit of Donačka gora.
