Sveta Barbara (Nova Hrastnica) - Sveti Ožbolt (above Zminec)

Access to starting point:
A) From the Medvode–Škofja Loka road, at the beginning of Škofja Loka we drive in the direction of Poljanska dolina, then after the Sten tunnel we turn right towards Puštal. A little further, we turn right again, then we drive through Puštal and the Hrastnica valley. We then follow the asphalt road that leads us along the bottom of the valley to the junction before the Nova Hrastnica bus stop, where the road towards Sv. Andrej branches off to the right. At the junction, where there are no arranged parking spaces, the described path begins.
B) From Poljanska dolina we drive towards Škofja Loka, then before the Sten tunnel we turn left towards Puštal, and at the next junction we go right. We then drive through Puštal and the Hrastnica valley. We then follow the asphalt road that leads us along the bottom of the valley to the junction before the Nova Hrastnica bus stop, where the road towards Sv. Andrej branches off to the right. At the junction, where there are no arranged parking spaces, the described path begins.

Path description:
From the starting point, we head onto the asphalt road in the direction of Sv. Andrej. The road immediately starts to ascend more steeply and leads us past a few spots where parking is possible. A little higher, a beaten but unmarked path branches off to the right, which soon returns to the road, and after a few steps we leave it again. A somewhat longer ascent through the forest follows, then we return to the road, along which we continue for a few minutes. Higher up, the road turns sharply right, but we leave it a little further on, as on the left we notice the continuation of the unmarked path, which continues along a somewhat overgrown cart track. A few minutes further, the path turns right and ascends more steeply through a more overgrown section, and above it we join the path that leads past the Krmelj-Blek farm.
We continue right and ascend along a wider cart track to a junction, where we reach the marked path that leads from the church of sv. Andrej to the church of sv. Ožbolt.
We continue left, then at the fork we choose the left steeper cart track. We walk along the cart track for a few minutes, then join a macadam road, which we follow to the right; it leads us along the upper edge of the nearby hamlet, where we also pass a chapel. Behind the chapel, on the grassy section we continue straight or slightly left, and when the poorer road enters the forest, we continue right uphill, first along the edge of the forest, then through the forest along the forested ridge. A few smaller junctions follow, where we follow the blazes; when we step out of the forest, we go first left, then right, and continue walking along the increasingly panoramic cart track that leads along the power line. Higher up we arrive at the Janšč farm, behind which we continue straight along a steep mountain path, along which we ascend to the sv. Ožbolt church in approximately 10 minutes.
