Sveti Lovrenc nad Dragomerom - Strmca (via Vrhovčev grič)

Access to starting point:
A) From the Ljubljana - Koper highway, take the Brezovica exit, then continue driving on the parallel old road towards Vrhnika. After 4.5 km of driving from the spot where we got onto the old road, at the traffic-light intersection turn right towards the center of Dragomer. When the lines in the middle end, turn slightly right and immediately straight uphill. Drive up it to the intersection, where continue right (marked) and along the quite steep road arrive at the parking lot in front of Sveti Lovrenc.

B) From the Koper - Ljubljana highway, take the Vrhnika exit, then continue driving on the parallel old road towards Ljubljana. After 8.5 km of driving from the spot where we got onto the old road, turn left onto the local road that continues among meadows and fields. After a few hundred meters arrive at a hamlet of a few houses, where at the intersection turn left, and the road turns right a few meters further on. Continue mostly straight ahead, then at the intersection next to which there are garbage containers, turn right. There follows a steep ascent and a bend to the intersection, where continue left and along the quite steep road arrive at the parking lot in front of Sveti Lovrenc.

Path description:
From the parking lot, go along the footpath to the water catchment, which we bypass on the left; immediately upon arriving in the forest, continue right on the path. After a short ascent, we arrive back at a logging trail, which we cross and continue on a wide path that brings us to an indistinct ridge. Continue on the most beaten path, which mostly follows the ridge. With some shorter ascents and descents over two small hills, the path finally leads us to a logging trail. Continue along it to the main ridge of Debelega hriba, where there is a junction. Continue left in the direction of Ferjanke, right Vrh. A gentle path leads us past Vrhovčev grič (if desired, we can also go over it). The marked path gradually descends and we reach a junction, where we can go straight along the ridge or left on the marked path. After 10 minutes, a marked path from Ključ or the Pavliček homestead joins from the right.
Here continue straight. The path then gently ascends all the way to the next junction, where we continue left (right unmarked cart track to Brezje). After 5 minutes, the path brings us to the indistinct and forest-covered summit of Strmca, where there is a signpost.
