Sveti Lovrenc nad Dragomerom - Strmca (via Vrhovčev grič)

Access to starting point:
a) From the Ljubljana–Koper motorway, take the Dragomer exit, then continue driving on the parallel old road towards Vrhnika. Soon at the signalized intersection turn right towards the center of Dragomer. When the center lines end, turn slightly right and immediately straight uphill. Drive along it to the intersection, where continue right (marked) and via a fairly steep road arrive at the parking lot in front of Sveti Lovrenc.
b) From the Koper–Ljubljana motorway, take the Vrhnika exit, then continue driving on the parallel old road towards Ljubljana. After 8.5 km of driving from the point where you joined the old road, turn left onto the local road that continues through meadows and fields. After a few hundred meters arrive at a hamlet of a few houses, where at the intersection turn left, and the road a few meters further turns right. Continue mostly straight ahead, then at the intersection next to which there are waste containers, turn right. A steep ascent and bend follow to the intersection, where continue left and via a fairly steep road arrive at the parking lot in front of Sveti Lovrenc.

Route description:
From the parking lot, go along the trail to the water intake, bypass it on the left; as soon as you arrive in the forest, continue right onto the path. After a short ascent, reach the track again, cross it and continue on the wide path that leads to an indistinct ridge. Continue on the most trodden path, which mostly sticks to the ridge. With a few shorter ascents and descents over two hillocks, the path definitively leads to the track. Continue along it to the main ridge of Debelega hriba, where there is a junction. Continue left in the direction of Ferjanke, right Vrh. The even path leads past Vrhovčev grič (if desired, you can also go over it). The marked path gradually begins to descend and you reach a junction, where you can go straight along the ridge or left along the marked path. After 10 minutes, another marked path from Ključa or the Pavliček homestead joins from the right.
Here continue straight. The path then gently ascends all the way to the next junction, where continue left (right unmarked cart track to Brezje). After 5 minutes, the path brings you to the indistinct and forest-covered summit of Strmca, where a signpost stands.
