Teharje - Almin dom na Svetini (Pot I. Celjske čete)

Teharje have a rich history. They are first indirectly mentioned in written sources as early as the 12th century. Local history is closely connected with the Counts of Celje, as the people of Teharje obtained ennoblement. Today Teharje is the seat of the eponymous local community, in which about a thousand inhabitants live. The settlement is located on the right side of the river Voglajna, east of Celje, therefore the access is easiest by road from Celje. The starting point of our path is located at the bridge over Voglajna, and we can park on the nearby large parking lot by the former inn, just before the secured railway crossing and the mentioned bridge, near the large industrial halls, in the area of the former Ironworks Štore.

Path description:
The larger part of our trip initially leads from the starting point along the marked hiking path Pot I. Celjske čete, which is maintained by PD Grmada Celje. At the starting point, there is a signpost that directs us along the asphalt road that runs along the left bank of the river Voglajna. After approximately 700 meters of walking on the asphalt, at the junction we turn right onto a macadam road into the forest. At the memorial plaque higher up, we leave the road and continue on a forest path uphill. After exiting the forest, we arrive at the settlement Osenica, where a view opens up on Bavč and Grmada. Soon we arrive at a junction, from which the Celje mountain trail (CPP) joins from the right, leading from the direction of Stari grad. We bypass the meadow and continue on the asphalt road that leads higher into Pečovje. After approximately 900 meters of walking on asphalt, we leave it at a well-marked hayrack and continue right on the forest road. After 500 meters of pleasant views on the nearby hills, where our destination is located, we enter the forest, from which a path joins from the right that leads from the starting point in Zvodno. To here from the parking lot: 1 hour of walking, 3.36 km distance, 167 meters ascent and 18 meters descent.
We continue straight on the forest road. Already after about 100 meters we encounter a new junction, where we leave the forest road and continue left downhill on a cart track in the direction of Štore or Bojanski graben. When we descend all the way to the graben, at the junction we continue sharply right along the Bojanski potok. We follow the marked path in the narrow gorge by the stream, but only to the next junction, where the path branches left. We follow the blazes, leave the gorge of the Bojanski potok and continue in a steeper ascent. Soon after emerging from the forest, we join left onto the forest road, which with a gentle slope leads to Zaroviše. After a few steps, we reach the saddle on the south side of Veliki and Mali Bojanski vrh, where a path from Žlajfa joins from the left. Here the Pot I. Celjske čete ends.
We continue on the marked path Štore - Dom na Svetini, maintained by PD Železar Štore, sharply right on asphalt, through a short section in the forest and through the yard of a homestead between the tower silo, house and stable. This is followed by continuation in the meadow section, past a prominent tree and cross and again in the forest section. Soon on the ridge we reach a junction of paths between Vrunčev dom on the left and Planinski dom na Svetini on the right. We continue right and after less than ten minutes of walking along the ridge we reach Almin dom, or Planinski dom na Svetini, from where a wonderful view opens to the south side towards the beautiful village Svetina and the surrounding hills. Just above the hut is the peak named Ramanca (781 m), from which a view towards the north is also offered nearby.
