Teichalm (Parking Heulantsch) - Heulantsch

Highway Maribor-Graz-Salzburg (A9) after few shorter tunnels outside Graz we leave and we continue right on the highway in the direction of Wien-Bruck/Muhr-Peggau.
We leave the highway at exit Mixnitz. Next follows a roundabout, where we choose the 2nd exit in the direction of Teichalm. After approximately 13km we pay attention to the turn-off right in the direction of Teichalm.
We turn right and on partly steep road we are quickly gaining altitude. When we are getting closer to Teichalm, the road starts descending. On the left side, we notice a parking lot with information board "Rastplatz Heulantsch".
Here we park.

Path description:
From the parking lot Heulantsch we go to the nearby mountain signposts, we cross a grazing fence and we continue on a cart track upwards.
By the pasture we go towards the east, where we cross another fence. Behind the fence the signpost points us steeply upwards.
On the top we come to a crossing, where a good beaten footpath points us right (left we get to the fence, past which the passage is not possible). Otherwise from here we already see the cross on Heulantsch.
Along the fence we in few minutes get to the top of Heulantsch.
The path is short and easy. It offers a breathtaking view towards Teichalm with the lake Teichalmsee and towards the west on 1722 meters high Hochlantsch.
We can continue towards the mountain hut "Stoahandhütte" and we return on the other side to the starting point.
