Path description:
The Merritts Track begins to the right next to the Kosciuszko Express chairlift station. The path leads past tennis courts, past the bobsleigh track and across the Merritts creek. The path soon reaches the ski runs (Bunny Walk and Village Trail), where it is necessary to carefully follow the signs for Merritts Track. The path soon rejoins the ski area, but soon branches off to the right, where in a gentle pace it reaches the viewpoint Picnic Lookout. From there it ascends numerous stairs through eucalyptus forest, crosses the competitive mountain bike track and on the other side immediately continues steeply to the viewpoint Lower Bench Seat and soon after to Upper Bench Seat. The path then passes the Black Sallees Mountain Bar & Bistro hut, where the forest line is located. Soon after it turns left and immediately after selects the rightmost or highest track (run), from which after approximately 20 meters a path branches off to the right, which leads to the top of the Kosciuszko Express chairlift or to the highest restaurant in Australia, namely Eagles Nest (Eagle's Nest).
On the way: Black Sallees Mountain Bar & Bistro (1840m)
