Tržič - Veliki vrh above Završnik (Milanova pot)

From the highway Ljubljana - Jesenice we take the exit Ljubelj (Tržič), then before the gas station in Bistrica pri Tržiču we turn right downwards, where we quickly arrive in Tržič. At the crossroads after the Mercator store we turn left in the direction of the Tržič Museum, but we continue driving along Koroška cesta through the town centre to the nearby pizzeria. Here we turn right through the old courtyard gates and then past the parking lot for pizzeria guests and the children's playground we drive to the parking lot by the castle.
We can also park somewhere else in Tržič.

Route description:
From the place where we have parked, we first walk to the pizzeria, then continue on the asphalt road in the direction of Dobrča via Ravne and Kofce past Završnik. The road along which we walk soon splits, and this time we continue on the upper road (slightly left Dobrča), which leads us past a few more houses and a landmark (cross). A few 10 meters ahead from the cross, at the place where there is a sign for speed bumps, we continue slightly right onto the side road, along which we ascend to the nearby gardens. Along the worse road we ascend above the gardens, where the path leads us to a water supply structure, which we bypass on the right side. Above the water supply structure, the road finally turns into a cart track, which enters the forest, through which it ascends moderately to steeply. Higher up, the wider cart track along which we continue turns left, then a little before its end we leave it and continue sharply right onto the well-trodden Milanova pot. The path continues ascending with occasional zigzags and occasional views, then brings us to a smaller saddle north of Kamnek.
We continue left (straight Slap, right Kamnek, sharply right leads the path that bypasses the summit of Kamnek and then descends to Tržič) and begin to ascend gently to moderately along the ridge of Pirmance. When the ridge becomes quite steep, the marked path turns left onto somewhat less steep slopes, across which we continue transversely to the right. After a few minutes the forest thins a bit and the path returns to the ridge, which we reach right on a smaller pass between the summits of Pirmance and Veliki vrh.
Here we leave the marked path, which turns to the right eastern side of the mountain, and continue straight upwards along an unmarked but well-followable path, along which in 5 minutes of further walking we ascend to the panoramic Veliki vrh above Završnik.
