Turnovka - Veliki Travnik (Turnovka)

Access to starting point:
a) Drive to Ljubno ob Savinji, then follow the signs for Smrekovec. In Ljubenske Rastke, turn left, then begin the ascent first along the slopes of Bezovec and later Komna. A traverse of the slopes to the left follows, where we drive past the parking lot for Komen (also possible to Koča na Travniku), but we continue in the same direction and follow the road to the parking lot for Koča na Travniku. Red mountain trail signs for Koča na Travniku are located at the starting point.
b) Drive to Ljubno ob Savinji, then follow the signs for Logarska dolina. A short distance after the mentioned place, arrive at a junction, turn right onto the side road towards Primož pri Ljubnem, then continue following the signs for Koča na Travniku. Up to an elevation of approximately 900 m we mostly ascend, then the road leads us over a pass, from which a longer traverse to the right follows. Later, the access variant from the center of the settlement Ljubno ob Savinji joins from the right. Higher up, ascend over Pečko or Robnikova planina, where we cross the marked path from the Žep stream valley - Koča na Travniku, but continue along the road, which returns to the forest and for some time continues together with the marked path. When the marked path turns left, we continue the traverse for a while longer, until mountain trail signs and parking signs reappear along the path, then park at the Turnovka parking lot.

Route description:
From the parking lot, head to the marked trail, alongside which are signs for Koča na Travniku. The trail initially leads along a cart track, where at a few junctions follow the markings, higher up the markings lead to a mountain trail that steeply ascends through the forest for a while. After the steep section, the trail levels out, crosses a pasture fence and leads us from the forest to the pasture areas near Koča na Travniku.
From there only a short walk remains and with fine views we reach the mountain hut.
From the hut continue right, the trail forks after one minute of further walking.
Continue straight ahead (left Raduha, right Komen) towards the viewpoint tower on Veliki Travnik, i.e. Turnovka, and continue ascending through the pasture areas of Široke trate. Higher up the trail enters a forest belt, upon leaving the forest continue the gentle to moderate ascent with occasional views, but no open vista due to the nearby forest. Just below the summit cross the pasture fence once more, then in a few steps arrive at the viewpoint tower on Veliki Travnik.
