Access to starting point:
From the highway Ljubljana - Koper, we take the Kozina exit, then continue driving on the old road towards Koper. When a little after the settlement Petrinje the road starts descending towards Črni Kal, we need to pay attention, because after the road sign 7.5 km we turn right onto a side road, and from there after less than 200 m left. From the mentioned crossroad, we drive less than 200 m more and then park on a large asphalt parking lot.
The starting point is appropriate if we come from the direction of Kozina, because from the opposite direction it is prohibited to turn onto a side road. If we come from the direction of Črni Kal or Kastelca, then the starting point Žlebinje is more appropriate.
Path description:
On the northern side of the larger parking lot we notice a cart track, on which we continue the path, and then we quickly arrive at old benches. After the benches the cart track changes into a slightly overgrown footpath, from which a nice view opens up on the nearby Tinjan. We walk for a few minutes along some sort of edge, then the path turns slightly to the right and brings us to a macadam road, on which we continue straight. Some 10 steps ahead a path from Kastelca and one of the paths from Osp join from the left.
We continue straight or slightly right again, then a minute or two further we arrive at the place where we join the path from the village Petrinje (at the mentioned junction we also reach SPP).
We continue left in the direction of Socerb (right Petrinje and Slavnik), along the subsequently wider macadam road, which leads us through the karst landscape. A few minutes further we reach an asphalt road, which we quickly leave, as the markings lead us slightly right onto a path that takes us past Sveta jama (the entrance to the cave is locked) back to the asphalt road in a few minutes. When we reach the road again, we follow it all the way to the castle Socerb, from which a nice view opens up.
Description and pictures refer to the condition in 2016 (June).
On the way: Sveta jama (415m)
