Velenje (Stari trg) - Malo Gradišče (on mountain trail)

Access to starting point:
A) From the Ljubljana - Maribor highway, take the Žalec exit, then continue driving in the direction of Velenje.
In Velenje at the second (main) roundabout, below the ski jumping hill, continue straight (2nd exit) in the direction of Šoštanj - Mozirje.
At the traffic-light intersection turn left and then immediately right into the parking lot (parking is free).

b) From the Koroška direction drive through Slovenj Gradec towards Velenje. In Velenje at the first (main) roundabout, below the ski jumping hill,
continue right (1st exit) in the direction of Šoštanj - Mozirje.
At the traffic-light intersection turn left and then immediately right into the parking lot (parking is free).

Path description:
We go to the end of the parking lot in the westward direction, where on the left side we notice the beginning of a steep path into the forest.
The steepness at the beginning quickly decreases and we walk on a well-beaten forest path along the slope of Gradišče.
The path is well marked. On some parts the path splits and rejoins higher up.
When we come out of the forest, we notice the church of St. Jakob.
Still before the chapel and the asphalt road we continue on the footpath to the left back into the forest.
We follow the well-beaten path along the ridge all the way to the top of Malo Gradišče.
