Zabukovica - Dom na Bukovici

Access to starting point:
We leave the Štajerska highway at the Žalec exit, and then we follow the signs for Žalec. Through Žalec we follow the signs for Griže and Migojnice, which we reach soon after the bridge over the Savinja river, and then we follow the signs for Zabukovica, where the described path begins near the Sipex d.o.o. company. We park at a suitable place nearby.

Route description:
From the starting point, we return along the road a short distance, where near the kindergarten we turn right onto a road that quickly leads us to Bar pri Ani, which we bypass on the right side. Continuing, we ascend through the village, and upon reaching a small saddle in the upper part of the settlement, we turn left (here the first trail markers appear).
We proceed past a few more houses, then after a cross, we arrive at a road junction, where we choose the uppermost road, already partly a cart track, and from there we go a short distance slightly left onto a marked path with signs for Bukovica. Next follows a short diagonal ascent, then near a house we reach a road where we merge with the path from the starting point Podvine.
We bypass the house on the right side and steeply ascend along a poorer, concreted road in this section. The road higher up flattens and transitions into a forest, and at a marked junction where we merge with the path from Migojnice, we continue straight onto a footpath. A few minutes higher, the path returns to the road, and we then continue to the nearby mountain hut, with the peak located just a few dozen steps further.
