Zadnja Trenta (Flori) - Zapotok waterfalls

Access to starting point:
From Kranjska Gora, drive over Vršič Pass towards Bovec or vice versa, but only to the 49th hairpin bend of the Vršič road (near the village of Trenta). Here, turn onto the side road towards the source of the Soča River. After a short ascent, the road quickly leads to the parking lot in front of the Koča pri izviru Soče hut, but we continue left over the bridge and follow the road further to the parking lot at the end of the road (near the parking lot, notice the mountain signs for Bavški Grintavec, the waterfalls of Suhega potoka, and Jalovec).

Route description:
From the parking lot, continue along the road closed by a barrier in the direction of Bavški Grintavec. Continue slightly left along the road that runs along the bed of Suhega potoka, while to the right a path leads towards Zavetišče pod Špičkom and Jalovec. We walk along the mentioned road for some time, then the path crosses the mentioned bed. At the crossing, be a bit more careful as the trail is not visible here. On the other side, we can notice a wooden post with direction signs. On the other side, the gentle path first leads past some private huts and then runs through the forest along the left side of the bed for a while. Further along, we will notice quite a few fallen trees beside the path, which are the result of snow avalanches. Somewhat later, the path leads us to a marked junction where the marked path continues right towards Planina Zapotok and Bavški Grintavec. Here we leave the mentioned path and head left where the signs for Zapotoški slapovi direct us.
From the junction, continue along the gentle path and a crossing of the torrent scree follows. The path then takes us into the forest where we continue along Suhega potok. Here the path runs left above the stream, later descends to the stream and leads us to a less visible junction.
Further along the stream bed, the path leads to the first waterfall, which is about 15 meters high. After viewing the waterfall, return to the mentioned junction and cross the stream to the other side where we can notice some cairns.
The path takes us back into the forest and turns left. Here we begin to ascend more steeply and soon arrive above the first waterfall, which we can view from vantage points along the path with some caution. Continue through the forest and from the path we can spot two smaller waterfalls with a pool. Soon we also reach the next somewhat larger double waterfall. Here we can also descend to the bed and view the mentioned waterfall up close.
After viewing the waterfall, return to the beaten path and continue the ascent through the forest. When we arrive above the mentioned double waterfall, the path soon turns left and descends to the stream bed. At the point where we descend towards the stream bed, a path also branches off to the right leading to a viewpoint from which the largest waterfall is visible. The mentioned path becomes very poorly visible further on.
We continue walking right along the stream and later cross it to the left side where we will notice a well-beaten trail again. Here we also get a view of the mighty upper waterfall, which splits into two streams approximately halfway. The trail soon ends and if we want to climb further to the pool under the upper waterfall, we must continue along the stream bed. This is only possible when there is not much water in the stream. Even in that case, the final ascent is very demanding and proceeds over slippery rock.
