Završnica (Pri žagi) - Pleče

Access to starting point:
A) From the highway Ljubljana - Jesenice we take the exit Lesce, and then we follow the signs for Žirovnica. Further, we drive on the old road towards Jesenice, on which we drive to Žirovnica, where we go right, further we follow the signs for Završnica and Valvasorjev dom. When the road towards Valvasorjev dom turns left, we go straight and we continue driving through the valley of Završnica. On the mentioned road, we drive to a marked crossroads at an altitude of 890 meters, where we park at an appropriate place by the crossroads.
B) We drive to Jesenice, and then we continue driving on the old road towards Lesce. At the end of the settlement Polje we turn left and then we follow the signs for Završnica and Valvasorjev dom. When the road towards Valvasorjev dom turns left, we go straight and we continue driving through the valley of Završnica. On the mentioned road, we drive to a marked crossroads at an altitude of 890 meters, where we park at an appropriate place by the crossroads.

Route description:
From the crossroads we continue on the right road in the direction of Sankaška koča (slightly left Tinčkova koča, Dom pri izviru Završnice and Dom na Zelenici), where a little further over the bridge we cross the stream Završnica. Further, we ascend diagonally, and meanwhile we also cross a few streams. Higher, the path temporarily slightly descends, then it moderately ascends to the saddle Kališča, where we reach the marked path Begunje - Poljška planina.
On the mentioned saddle we leave the road and continue slightly right in the direction of sv. Peter (left Poljška planina and Roblekov dom, straight downwards unmarked path to Begunje through the Blatnica gorge) and we start to ascend parallel with the macadam road, which higher, a little before its end, we also reach. On the part where we reach the road we continue left and thus leave the marked path, in a few steps we arrive at the turning area of the forest road.
From the turning area we continue left on the cart track, which slightly descends, then starts to ascend gently. Here we get a little view of the Karavanke, the cart track, which gradually leads onto the slopes of Pleče, starts to ascend moderately. When ascending diagonally, best still before the end of the cart track, we continue right, where there are several poorer footpaths, and we ascend on one of them to an indistinct ridge and along it on a somewhat more visible footpath to the nearby peak.
