Zelovo - Planinski dom Orlove stine

Access to starting point:
a) Leave the A1 motorway at the Split exit and continue driving on the expressway towards Split. Leave it at the first exit and continue towards Drniš and Knin. In Gornji Muć, turn right and in the village of Sutina turn left towards Zelovo. Drive past the junction for Svilaja and when you arrive in the village of Zelovo, turn left into the village and park in a suitable place somewhere along the road. Best near the bus stop, where there are also hiking signs.
b) Drive to Knin and from there follow towards Kijev and Vrlika. Drive through Vrlika and along Perućko Lake to the town of Hrvace, where you pay attention to the right junction for Zelovo. Turn and when you arrive in Zelovo, continue to the village centre and park in a suitable place somewhere along the road. Best near the bus stop, where there are also hiking signs.

Path description:
From the starting point, follow the trail markers through the village. The road loses its asphalt surface and enters the forest. After 20 minutes of walking, the road forks. Continue right to a barely noticeable junction, where the path to the hut via Mačkovec branches left. After a few minutes, reach another fork and turn slightly right again. The road then turns into a poorer track. Soon the track becomes a path. Begin to ascend slightly through the forest. The path gets lost in places. Emerge from the forest, the path steeply ascends the meadow, the path from Đolina draga joins from the right, and reach a "rest area" with a bench. Continue along the path and soon reach the road leading to the hut. Continue right along the road. With increasingly beautiful views of Orlove stine and towards Maglaj and Kamešnica, arrive at the junction in front of the hut. Continue right, descending slightly to the hut.
