Access to starting point:
We drive to Murska Sobota, and then continue driving towards the border crossing Hodoš. In Gornji Petrovci from a somewhat larger crossroads we continue left in the direction of settlements Kuzma and Martinje. When we get to Šulinci, at the village fire station we leave the main road, which turns right, and continue straight on a side road which bypasses the fire station on the left side. When Šulinci end, we soon get to the Balon memorial, and we drive approximately 50 meters further to a marked parking lot, where we park.
Route description:
From the parking lot, we continue on the asphalt road in the direction of the village Boreča, and leave the main road after a few minutes, when signs for Martinje and holiday cottage point us right onto a side road. We continue on a narrower asphalt road which after the holiday cottage loses the asphalt covering, then continue along the edge of the forest, where we go past another house. The path ahead partly leads through the forest, partly along the edge of meadows and rises only barely noticeably.
After approximately 35 minutes of walking we arrive at a junction, where we continue left on the marked path (straight ahead the path leads to the chapel of the Sacred Heart of Jesus and the Immaculate Heart of Mary in Martinje).
The path ahead begins to ascend more noticeably and quickly brings us to a part of the settlement Martinje, where we continue among houses. Next follows walking on an asphalt road from which nice views of the surroundings open up; when we reach the main road we continue right and continue walking on the sidewalk. Before the cemetery the marked path to Tromejnik turns left, but we change sides of the road since the sidewalk ends after the cemetery and we continue along the main road for a few more minutes. After a few minutes we arrive at a nearby house, where we carefully cross the road and behind the house or fenced plot continue right onto a cart track. The cart track splits immediately, and we choose the left one, which enters the forest (do not continue along the fence). A light ascent through the forest follows; before the water facility we go right and soon arrive at Srebrni breg, from which a nice view opens up.
