Description of mountain:
Bavški Grintavec is a mighty mountain that rises steeply above the valleys of Bavšica, Zadnja Trenta, and Soča. All approaches to the summit are long and, except for the path from the village of Soča, technically very demanding. Among them, the most difficult is the one leading from Kanja saddle across the exposed ridge to the summit. With no higher peaks in the immediate vicinity, the mountain offers an exceptional, unobstructed view of the central and western Julian Alps. The most magnificent among them is the view of the nearby Jalovec, which rises steeply above Zadnja Trenta. The summit, where a logbook with a stamp is located, is also the highest point of a long ridge that stretches from the village of Kal-Koritnica all the way to Trenta.
