Dvorec Štatenberg

Description of mountain:
Štatenberg Mansion is one of the most beautiful Baroque mansions in Slovenia, located at an elevation of 289 meters on a small scenic rise above the Dravinja Valley, in the immediate vicinity of the town of Makole.
The luxurious building was commissioned by the Counts Attems between 1690 and 1740 as their summer residence. The mansion is designed symmetrically with four wings surrounding an inner arcaded courtyard, and its interior features prominently the richly painted Knights' Hall with beautiful frescoes and stucco decorations. An English park with ponds is laid out around the mansion.
Today, the mansion serves as a popular venue for weddings and cultural events, where visitors can also view a museum ethnographic collection and the castle salons.
