The Erichhütte is located in the southern Berchtesgaden Alps, specifically on the Schönbergalm pasture. From the hut, there are fine views of the High Tauern to the south and the mountains south and west of Höchkonig, the highest peak of the Berchtesgaden Alps. The nearby ridge, along which the famous via ferrata Königsjodler runs, is also visible.
