Castle Drachenburg ("Dragon castle") on Bredič directly above Kozje is the first time mentioned in the year 1286 as castrum Trachenberk, but most likely it was built already in the early 12th century, making it one of the oldest castles in Styria. Residential part in two tracts had two floors, it had also round defense tower and four-story defensive fort. In the 17th century it was abandoned and today there are only some ruins, which are accessible on two paths from Kozje.
