Hochfeilerhütte

Description of mountain hut:
Mountain hut Hochfeilerhütte (italian Rifugio Gran Pilastro) is located at an altitude 2710 meters on the south side of the peak Hochfeiler, which is the highest peak in Zillertal Alps. Mountain hut has 30 beds and 60 additional mattresses. In the winter time, when the mountain hut is closed there's 6 mattresses available. The mountain hut is usually open from the end of June to the beginning of October. On the southern slopes of the peak Hochfeiler the mountain hut was the first time built already in the year 1880 and was located at an altitude 3400 meters. Mountain hut at today's location was built in the year 1986.
