Magdalenska gora is a popular excursion spot for Grosuplje residents and people from surrounding villages. Lately, Magdalenska gora, known for its archaeological site, is visited by increasing numbers of hikers from slightly more distant areas. From the summit, where the Church of St. Mary Magdalene stands, there is a nice view mainly northwestward, where in good visibility parts of the Julian Alps, Karawanks, and Kamnik-Savinja Alps can be seen.
