Description of mountain:
Mesnovec is a 1538-meter-high peak located between Zgornji Goreljek and Rudno polje on Pokljuka. From the summit, only limited views open towards the highest peaks of the Julian Alps, as nearby trees block much of the vista. For a much nicer view, it is worth climbing the 30 m lower northwestern side peak. From that summit, nice views open up on Triglav, Rjavina, peaks above Pokljuka, and part of the Karawanks.
