Olperer is a 3,476-meter mountain in the Zillertal Alps in Austria's Tyrol state. It is the main summit of the Tux ridge (Tuxer Kamm) and frequently crossed in summer by climbers moving from Olperer hut to Geraer hut. It was first ascended on September 10, 1867, via the southeast ridge (Südostgrat) by Paul Grohmann, Georg Samer, and Gainer Jackl.[1] Its north side features the Hintertux ski area on the Gefrorene-Wand-Kees glacier (also called Tuxer Ferner).
