Panos

Description of mountain:
Panos is a scenic peak on the southern Velebit, between Veliki Stolac and Debeli Kuk (near Stap). The peak is also known for the remains of a former military base built here in the second half of the 20th century. From here, the area between the coast and the interior was monitored, and it was strictly guarded for many years. Today, only ruins and underground bunkers remain from the base, bearing witness to the site's former function.
From the summit there is a beautiful view in all directions; the Paški Bridge, Pag island, Vir island and numerous islands in the Zadar archipelago can be seen. On the other sides the previously mentioned Veliki Stolac and Debeli Kuk are clearly visible, as well as the rest of the area where Visočica and Vaganski vrh stand out.
A road from Rizvanuša via Jelova Ruja leads to the peak itself.
