Description of mountain hut:
Pantokrator is a large mountain plateau/pasture on the northeastern part of Corfu island (also a landscape park there), rising opposite the Corfu bay, above the coastal areas of Pirgi and extending south to Nisaki. The highest and very prominent peak on this plateau is also called Pantokrator; it features a hut/buffet, an old Orthodox church with remnants of a former monastery, and numerous communication towers and antennas, which unfortunately detract from this exceptionally beautiful vantage point.
Several trails and a fairly good road lead to the mountain from various directions, so the hike from the coast is usually shortened by car or one ascends to the summit by bike.
