Planinarski dom Zavižan

Description of mountain hut:
The Zavižan mountain hut is located below the panoramic peak Vučjak in Northern Velebit National Park. From the hut and its immediate surroundings, there are beautiful views towards the Kvarner Islands. Goli otok and Rab to the west stand out most prominently. Nearby peaks in northern Velebit are also visible (Velika Kosa, Veliki Zavižan, followed by the barely noticeable Gromovača, and slightly to the left Zavižanski Pivčevac). With only 30 beds, advance booking is recommended. Nearby is the Zavižan meteorological station, Croatia's highest.
