Prižnica

Description of mountain:
Prižnica is a 383-meter-high peak located above the left bank of the Soča River, between the settlements of Deskle and Plave. The summit, also known as point 383, was the scene of some of the fiercest battles on the Soča Front during World War I. Around forty thousand soldiers fell on that battlefield alone. Today, a memorial park with information boards is being arranged on the slopes of Prižnica, and the paths on the hill are nicely maintained.
