Description of mountain:
Rysy is a peak in the High Tatras on the border between Slovakia and Poland. It is reportedly the highest peak in Poland. From the Slovak side, the access is fairly easy, starting from Štrbské Pleso at 1,350 m, with the summit reachable in about 4 hours at a normal pace. At 2,250 m there is a mountain hut where you can get food, drinks, souvenirs, and more. The huts in the Tatras are supplied by Sherpas who compete in the amount of cargo carried. Some photos.
